Typically, colleges and universities offer a number of education courses, with different approaches to the curriculum. Some courses focus on theory, while others are more practical. Students will also learn how to use their interpersonal skills to impress employers.
Students will also learn to design effective classroom management techniques and how to make use of technology to enhance instructional activities. Students will also learn how to integrate various forms of assessment into the curriculum. This course will prepare students for teaching in a variety of settings, including special education, elementary and secondary schools, and home schooling. Students will also learn to design active inquiry learning experiences for K-12 students.
In addition, students will gain experience with the use of online technology to design instructional activities. Students will also learn how to use the LEGO MINDSTORMS Robotics Intervention System (RSI) to explore concepts in science. The course will also consider equity and diversity, as well as special education settings and inclusive educational practices.
Students will also be exposed to the impact of the family on education. This course will focus on how the family impacts the development of young adolescents, as well as on the influence of health and legal constructs on development. This course will also explore how education policy affects school effectiveness and learning outcomes.
The course will also cover issues such as democratic education and social justice education. This course will also introduce students to the concept of education in the United States and to the historical and philosophical role of education in society. It will also provide students with a basic understanding of the social and economic role of education in the U.S. These topics will help students to become critical thinkers and ethical leaders.
Students will also learn about the development of young adolescents and the cognitive factors that contribute to development. The course will also cover how to assess young adolescents and how to incorporate play into the curriculum. Students will also be exposed to the role of assessment that is multidimensional and performance-based.
